WHY WEIGHT - CDE CLINIC

The cooking instructor's bench has been highlighted with wooden panelling. As cooking videos will be shot in the kitchen, the shot has been nicely framed with the blue cabinetry at the back. Each cooking bench is equipped with an oven, a 4-burner hob, extractor fans, a small prep bowl per person to rinse vegetables, racks to store pans and pots, and a 900mm counter working space per person.

The boardroom is intended for corporate meetings and hosting dinner parties after a cooking class. The layout has everything needed for a corporate meeting - a big table, comfortable seating and a TV to project information on. The boardroom can fit up to ten people in the space, allowing big dinner parties. The boardroom has been made welcoming and warm with ambient lighting, a lot of wood and comfortable seating. The rug and the artwork used in the space make the space feel more like home.

The gym was a fun area to design, as dynamic lines and lighting could be used. The gym is situated at the end of the building, far away from cooking and closer to the biokinetics offices if they need to demonstrate any exercises. Floor-to-ceiling wooden panelling has been used with led strip lighting imbedded into it. This creates movement to motivate the users to push their limits. The end of the hallway has been designed to be a refreshment station for gym users.

The top images illustrate the biokinetics office. Built-in storage is made beautiful whilst being functional. The dark blue with contrasting lighter wood makes for a stunning backdrop to client meetings. The room is equipped with a wash hand basin and an examination table. The bottom images illustrate the dietician's offices. They also have built-in storage, which provides a feature element to the room. The built-in storage is cladded with wooden panelling and a backlit background. The light wood is contrasted with light blue walls to capture the branding of CDE.
